Arsenal are set to acquire one of the brightest young talents in Polish football after reports suggested Krystian Bielik would soon sign for the Gunners from Legia Warsaw.

Jamie Sanderson of Metro says the north London giants will grab the highly rated 16-year-old after making their move a fortnight ago for the midfielder in a deal worth £1.6 million.

Sanderson reports the teenager has been in England this week to tie up matters and to take a look at his new club's facilities after agreeing terms.

The deal will see Bielik boost his current salary of £125 a week to a huge £8000 per month, as cited by Sanderson.

Danish journalist Henrik Hindby gave some details on the talent who will not yet be well known to English football supporters:

Simon Jones of the Daily Mail had previously reported on Arsene Wenger's interest in the defensive-minded player, saying Everton were also in line to pursue the youngster.

Jones noted that Bielik was under contract to Warsaw until 2017 and "has already broken into the Polish side's first team and is earmarked for a bright future."

But it seems that Wenger has won the race and will now add the player to his youth development squad and reserve team.

In other news, Arsenal could raid Serie A for a new forward-thinking player in the summer, with the team linked to Juventus' Sebastian Giovinco.

Hannah Duncan of Metro quotes the player's agent Andrea D'Amico speaking to Sky Italia about his client's future and hinting that the Emirates may be a possible destination for the attacking midfielder.
