Arsenal announce January exit as Edu agrees loan deal for for the high rated star

Arsenal have announced that Ovie Ejeheri is set to make another loan move this season. The goalkeeper initially spent the first half of the season a Chelmsford City.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper had recently returned following the completion of his loan spell at Chelmsford City, where he made 23 appearances in all competitions for the National League South side.

But, he is now set to join Finish side SJK Seinajoki. This is a deal that will last until the end of the season where he will then return to north London.

Ejeheri played 12 U21 matches for Arsenal last season, which propelled him into the first loan move of his career to Chelmsford. Out of the 23 fixtures he played this season, two had featured in the FA Cup.

A new loan move to Finland will give him further preparation for first-team football, and a potential pathway at Arsenal if an opportunity arises.

Young goalkeepers such as Karl Kein and Arthur Okwonko have featured in first-team squads under Mikel Arteta in recent seasons. A successful loan move could see Ejehri achieve the same as the two youngsters.
